On April 1, 2016, students from Maryland International Day School traveled to Cuba on the heels of President Obama’s historic visit to the island nation. The students ages 5 through 13 became the first Americans permitted to attend Cuban schools. Their week-long trip was chronicled by a local TV station and reported in the Washington Post.
