  • Arrange for a visit to the school. Open houses and small group tours are scheduled throughout the year. These are usually small group sessions and parents may make reservations to attend by contacting the school via email or by telephone.
  • Complete and return application form. This form initiates the admission process and the fee of $100 must be included with the completed application form.
  • Arrange for classroom visit. All students applying to MIDS must participate in a structured classroom evaluation. Students are required to attend class at MIDS for half a day. This allows the school to evaluate each candidate and to meet and work individually with all prospective students.
  • Arrange for return of forms directly to MIDS. In addition to the Parent Questionnaire, School Recommendation, and Transcripts, MIDS may require specific standardized tests for admission of children. Parents are encouraged to submit the results of any testing that their child has undergone. This may include such tests as the WISC-III or McCarthy Scales. All requested information must be received before admission decisions are made.
